The Quran should be recited frequently for best results. A neglected medicine can never work. Seek ruqyah only if you have no knowledge or are physically unable to perform it on yourself. Make it a habit to remember the creator and that the test brings you closer to him in order to find his assistance.

Self ruqyah guide
The steps to perform ruqyah on oneself are as follows:
- Be in a state of cleanliness.
- Have whudhu or make whudhu.
To begin recitation:
- Start with Aootho Billah, then Bismillah.
- Make your intention firm that you would like for Allah swt to grant you a cure and improve your condition.
- Read the whole Quran and do not limit yourself to any time frame, portion of the Quran, or number of times a verse or surah is repeated.
- Make constant dua before, after, or during the ruqyah.
- It is advised to read out loud and also to make adthaan out loud (When the adthaan is called, the devils flee).

What is good to recite?
The following is excellent for ruqyah recitation: However, it should not limit the recitation to only this.
Quraan:
Al faatiha
Al baqarah
Ayatul qursi (Al Baqarah: 255)
Ayatul sihr/magic (Al Baqarah: 105)
Last 3 ayaat of Al Baqarah
As safaat
Al jinn
Al hashr
Muawidhaat, or 3 or 4 quls:
Al kafiroon
Last 3 verses of the Quran
-Al ihklaas
-Al falaq
-An nas
Dua/adthkaar (rememberance of Allah)
Authentic duas from Sunnah
Adhaan
Any dhikr of benefit, i.e., subhaanallah, alhamdullilah, or allahuakbar
Any dua in a language you understand
Calling upon Allah through his names and attributes (the 99 names of Allah)
